Alana D’Ambrosio

Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate

I am a relationship anxiety and betrayal therapist. I help people overcome emotional pain, grief, and uncertainty in order find hope and connection in their next chapter in life. My training and experience have led to an expertise in providing support to people as they heal from affairs and relationship betrayals. I work with couples hoping to forgive, reconnect, and create a new relationship post-betrayal as well as individuals looking to grieve, grow, and move- on after a break-up or divorce.

I am also specialized in supporting people as they process the many transitions of parenthood. The experience of becoming and being a parent is filled with joy and it can also be filled with anxiety, overwhelm, and uncertainty. I see both parenting couples looking to increase their communication and connection as well as individuals overwhelmed by the parenting experience. My therapeutic approach can be described as no-nonsense and direct with a sense of tenderness, humor, and flexibility. I will create a safe and validating space for you to step into vulnerability, hang out with the emotions you have been running from, and find your voice to express your needs. I draw from various evidence-informed modalities such as: The Gottman Method of
Relationship Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Humanistic Therapy, and Internal Family System (IFS).

I believe relationships can be the most powerful form of support when we are able to see and respect one another’s unique humanness. My role is to provide therapeutic support to honor the delicate balance of autonomy and interdependence that is so important to relationship and individual happiness. Let’s collaborate to understand your unique experience, set achievable goals, and create a fulfilling experience of life.
