Brainspotting Therapy in Colorado
A brain-body approach to healing trauma and emotional distress.
Trauma and emotional pain are often stored deeply within the brain and nervous system. Brainspotting is a powerful therapeutic approach designed to access and process these experiences in a way that traditional talk therapy sometimes cannot.
Brainspotting works by identifying specific eye positions connected to emotional activation in the brain. By maintaining focus on these points while processing experiences in therapy, the brain is able to access and release unresolved trauma and emotional distress.
At Kenosis Counseling, Brainspotting is used to help clients work through:
- Trauma and PTSD
- Anxiety and chronic stress
- Emotional overwhelm
- Relationship distress
- Performance blocks and unresolved emotional experiences
Brainspotting is sometimes compared to EMDR but works through a different brain-based process that allows many clients to access deeper levels of healing.
